Good things happen to good people and unfortunately bad things happen to good people. Today's guest gives us a good look at both. David takes us through an inconsistent beginning of his coaching career that sees him as an intern middle school coach, volunteer high school coaching and even a head coaching position at a college cross country program. After starting a track program at the college and then having the administration drop the program after a year, David had every excuse to quit...but he didn't.
Hear his journey to becoming the head track coach of University of Pikeville, the accomplishments he is coaching, and the growth of a new track and field facility in this week's episode. It's a journey of unexpected twists (a distance coach who has a Level II certificate in THROWS?!), downfalls, and ultimately triumphs. ENJOY!
