Things that trip up a new gardener and sometimes all gardener:
We have been victim to a few of these items on the list
1.Time :
A: for most gardening is a hobby a fun weekend activity
B: there is some cost like any hobby a garden does not take care of itself
2. I don't have much space or any ground
A: containers, Straw Bale gardening, community garden, indoor gardening under the happy leaf led grow light
3. I don’t know everything i'm going to kill all my plants:
A: Join the club, as any gardener from Joe Lamp’l to P. Allen smith to you local university extension officer in you county no one know everything and we all are learning with every plant and season
B: My plant does not look good, what is wrong with it? First question to ask is are you watering too much or not enough? If you answer yes then you are that is one of the biggest reason plants die for new gardeners.
4. What does Partial shade loving plants mean and what is ok to plant there and what if i plant in full sun plants.
A: Partial shade loving plants means that that are not Partial shade loving plants the correct term is Partial shade tolerating plants meaning the plants will grow in 4 - 6 hours of direct to indirect light and they will not die.
If you plant these in full sun they will love it. Not everyone has full sun all day. Some vegetable that are shade tolerating
Beets, beans, cabbage, leeks, herbs, Carrots, chard, kale, lettuce
B: cool weather crops such as lettuce and Spinach it is best to grow in partial shade as these types of plants are heat sensitive and day length sensitive
5. Growing zones
A: The USDA Hardiness Zone Map divides North America into 11 separate planting zones; each growing zone is 10°F warmer (or colder) in an average winter than the adjacent zone. ... To find your USDA Hardiness Zone, enter your zip code in your favorite search engine
B: It is guide to help you to know what plants will and will not grow in your area
6. How do I know what information that I can trust and follow?
A: trusted sources, authors radio host university extension offices, Youtubers that have lots of videos and their information is the same as other youtubers and it matches other sources cross reference.
B: If there is a youtube channel that has 1 video with a million view and they talk about putting bleach in your soil to get great tomatoes that is a red flag.
