Episode 263: Addison Watson - College Soccer and SEC Football

Our discussion today with former Missouri State Goalkeeper, Addison Watson is a very unique conversation as we branch into TWO worlds of sports. 

The first half of our conversation will cover the sport of soccer. Addison had the chance to compete at the Division 1 Level as a goalkeeper for the Missouri State University program, and while he was there, he learned many things through the sport. 

We've had many requests to cover the sport of soccer on the show, and today is a wonderful opportunity to get a glance at what it takes to make it at the next level in that sport as well. He will talk to us about the training that it takes, the dedication, the experiences he had while he was there, and the advice he would give to aspiring soccer players who are looking to make it to that next level. This is one which the young athletes do NOT want to miss! What a great opportunity to learn from someone who has been there.

The second half of our conversation has to do with the SEC (Southeastern Conference) and the culture surrounding that conference. 

What you will notice in this conversation is how Addison is in a unique situation. He grew up a Mississippi State fan based on where he grew up. That said, he also has ties to Ole Miss where he attended school after Missouri State. 

We'll have a conversation about the conference and the culture behind the SEC. We'll learn about the weather and how that impacts the level of competition. We'll talk about NIL and college football and how that will impact things. 

We will chat about the PAC-12 and the expansion the LA teams to the Big Ten and how that will impact things long term!
