Mental health wellness is a trending issue in the Black community, especially the mental health challenges of Back men. This episode will focus on mental health in communities of color. Specifically, this episode will address the complexities and factors such as hyper-masculinity, racism, low wealth, status, toughness, heteronormative behaviors, implicit bias among health care providers, stigmas associated with mental health counseling and therapy, and the lack of visibility among providers of color.
