How Green is Green Hydrogen? Interview with Cathy Clennett from Hiringa Energy

In this week's episode, we have Cathy Clennett from Hiringa Energy in the co-pilot seat talking about green hydrogen and the future of energy. If you don't know the difference between green, blue, and brown hydrogen? Here is a Dr. Seuss-style poem:

Let's talk about hydrogen, so pristine,

In green, blue, and brown, a colourful scene!

Green Hydrogen, the cleanest of all,

Made with renewable energy's call.

Sun and wind power they play their part.

To split water molecules and start.

Blue Hydrogen, it's not quite green,

But it's cleaner than brown, as you've seen.

With carbon capture, it strives to be

A lower-emission energy source, you see.

Brown Hydrogen, well, it's not so grand,

Made from fossil fuels, across the land.

Pollution and emissions, they're the trouble,

We should aim for cleaner, and there's no rebuttal.

So remember the colours of hydrogen, true?

Green, blue, and brown in the energy stew.

Let's work together to make a change.
