Enchanting New Mexico Stories - Where the stars are bright in New Mexico

There are miles and miles of dark skies in New Mexico. I have heard people surprised by how many stars they can see on a dark night out in the wilds of New Mexico.  I am going to talk about places in New Mexico where the stars are bright, deep in the night, deep in the heart… wait, not Texas, deep in the heart of New Mexico. There are a couple of towns south of Lordsburg, New Mexico. Animas with about 235 people, and Rodeo with about a hundred residents. On a dark night look up at the stars out there. These two little settlements are about 150 miles west of El Paso, Texas and 150 miles east of Tucson, Arizona, so this is a very dark area without spillover lights.
