John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023) (with Joel Edmiston)

Yeah, we're thinking we're back (for the 4th and final(?) time). Alex, Ben, and returning guest Joel all saw the new John Wick movie this weekend and convened in The Franchisees Studio to have a fittingly long, discursive chat about the bloated and goated action epic. Osaka. Berlin. Paris. Toronto. John Wick is everywhere these days. He's joined in this film by what might be the best new supporting cast yet: Donnie Yen as Caine, Rina Sawayama as Akira, Shamier Anderson as Tracker aka Mr. Nobody, Bill Skarsgård as Marquis, Clancy Brown as Harbinger and  fan-favourite large lad, Killa (Scott Adkins).

We've had a lot of fun with these films and seeing Chapter 4 in theatres was a joy. It's worth getting your ass off the couch to see this movie large style, trust us. Join us next week as we embark on an ambitious journey outside of the conventional definitions of "the franchise" and watch a bunch of Pasolini movies, primarily his Trilogy of Life.
