Everything worth doing takes effort. You have heard the old saying, if it is worth doing, it is worth doing well. That is absolutely true. And yet to gain true mastery over a skill, it is worth going through that weird phase at the front end where you do something badly. So if a skill is truly worthwhile, do it badly first until you refine your art.
