Rhoda Wise, once a Protestant from Ohio, endured years of excruciating illness before turning to God—and everything changed. After converting to Catholicism, she experienced visions of Jesus and St. Thérèse of Lisieux, miraculous healing, and eventually, the stigmata.

Her home became a place of pilgrimage, drawing thousands—among them a young Rita Rizzo, later known as Mother Angelica of EWTN, whose miraculous healing sparked her vocation.
