32: Fueling the Fire: Motivation Out of Life's Struggles, Grief, and Challenges

What if we can harness the transformative power of pain, grief, and loss into fuel for our life's mission and purpose? Ever witness how personal struggles become the driving force for inspirational change? This week your coaches Sam and Polly reveal just that, through personal experiences of suffering, and still they rise. Coach Sam shares her awe-inspiring commitment to toe the 140.6 mile IronWoman start line again, thirteen years later, in attempt of a PR! She is truly on fire this time- fueled with double the strength and resilience this time in honor of her brother and cousin, both battling stage 4 cancer. She demonstrates how intense physical training paired with a deep personal WHY can be a tremendous  source of empowerment and drive. From Coach Polly you will hear contrasting moving stories of two women, both navigating the traumatic loss of their husbands, who illustrate how the meanings we assign to our experiences lead to drastically different life paths. Choice of focus and choice of story are both in our very own hands during a time of suffering.
