We live in a culture where "cheat meals" are glorified in the Health and Fitness community, but why? Shouldn't cheating be looked at as something inherently bad, why do so many fitness enthusiasts look forward to it and promote it so hard?

It's the way we are wired, its a cheat and we're not supposed to do it but in the health and fitness space there are reported significant upsides to weekly "cheat meals" what are they, and more importantly is it true?
