Mick Livesey is Commercial Director of Oxford City Football Club and talks with me today.

This is a business show, not a football show, but we clearly talk a little about football!  As the former Chief Sports Writer for a national newspaper, and having worked for Manchester City from ’89 to ’03, Mick knows his football, but in this episode it is abundantly clear that he knows business too.

We talk about what he personally did the day the club temporarily shut its doors because of the virus (I bet the answer will surprise you!), why businesses are signing commercial contracts with Oxford City right now, despite no games being played, and the ways in which Oxford City is outplaying clubs in the Premiership.  We also talk about why they won’t be playing behind closed doors today, unlike Manchester United & Arsenal.

Oh, and you’ll also hear my brilliant suggestion as to how they can make more money (OK, maybe a little tongue in cheek).
