My guest today is Vimla Chendriah of Veda Santé Health.
As well as finding out what Ayu Veda is (and hence the company name), we look in depth at the Importance of mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, including conversations around the legal and moral responsibilities of employers.
Topics include the impact of Brexit & Covid-19 on mental health, relevant legislation of which employers should be aware, and who should do a mental first aid course?
Vimla formerly qualified as a Registered Mental Health professional, working both in the NHS and in the private sector followed by a career as an International Training/Business Consultant in the corporate sector.
She is also trained in Ayurveda natural health modality. Having herself suffered from burnout and stressful life events, she continues her learning to embed natural wellness within mental health and focuses on root causes rather than symptoms.
Vimla is very passionate about mental health, focusing on the preventative side using a personalised health solution for each individual including natural therapies, diet, mindset and natural Body Type, changes in lifestyle, yoga, meditation and home/ herbal remedies to gain optimum physical and mental health. She aims to empower people to use a wide range of techniques to minimise stress at work and home as she believes we all have the power and ability to heal ourselves with the right knowledge, education, resilience, emotional intelligence and support around us.
