Today’s guest is Jake Fox, the Founder of Paperound, a website which enables businesses to book students to work on tasks as an when required – you can visit the site for yourself at https://paperound.com/ to see what we were talking about and can connect with Jake at https://www.linkedin.com/in/jake-fox-62364b83/.
Jake did a great job of explaining what the company does and how it is the tech in the middle, creating a win/win for students and businesses alike.
I raised a number of challenges to Jake’s business model, including the potentially labour-intensive vetting process and the pricing model, as well as looking at some of the risks in his business.
We then talked about the pre-start phase and how the cunning plan turned into reality, with some great insights that listeners may well find of value.
Our discussion on the balancing act between marketing to get the right number of students and the right number of businesses will resonate with many a business listener, as well as the scepticism of some, believing that this is too good to be true!
We close by talking about MVPs – minimal viable product – why is it important and what are the pros & cons of running with the minimum?
