Collaborative working with your local community

Julian Rowlands of Love Reigate guests on today’s podcast.  That company name could mean many things, so we start by talking about what it actually does mean, and what they do in the Reigate area.  It’s a loyalty programme and a gift card business, but the word local crops up a lot!

Being a little challenging, I push Julian to explain the benefits to businesses of giving away deals – aren’t they just giving away profit?  And will paying members recoup, or more than recoup, their modest investment?

We also talk about the added value of talking to and working with someone local, as well as how businesses can improve their lot if the word “local” doesn’t mean Reigate to them.

Julian’s plans for Love Reigate in the future are not finalised, but we talk about his options, where he might take it, and indeed, how you might be involved.
