Brenda Gurung (she hers) is a credentialed dementia specialist. She leads the memory care program for a senior living operator (views are her own and may not necessarily represent her employer). She specializes in proactive interventions for behavioral expressions, communication strategies, direct-caregiving methods and purposeful engagements. She holds a number of specialized certifications in dementia care and aging. She has held various leadership roles in senior living for 16 years, served on the Forbes Health Advisory Board for 2 years and has volunteered as a community educator for the Alzheimer’s Association for over 7 years. She is an organic gardener and beekeeper. She founded Be Growth Dementia Education as a way to share original, empowering content for professional and personal caregivers.
