C2E13: 5 Days

With their run in with the demonic shadows just behind them, the Vigils travel with the surviving guard to his barracks to warn his commanding officer. They then travel back to their own outpost and rest for the evening trying to recover their strength. In the morning, discussion of their next move consumes them as it is apparent that to defeat some type of Demon may be out of their reach. In the midst of their conversation, the Vigil's are interrupted by a visit from Brigadier Haws, a high ranked officer of the Crimson Cloaks. After a terse conversation, it's clear that she herself is worried for her people and came looking for information from the Vigils. During Such discussions, Barren asks how soon they could receive additional backup from more experienced Vigil, and Bral the curator informs him that it will be 5 days till help arrives. Once the members of the group agree that they need to do what they can in the mean time, the party splits up to research on what they might be facing. Opal and Ren head to the Temple of The Huntress and Barren and Alia head to the Arched Library. Both groups glean that what they are fighting is very old and may have strong connections to the Gods of Evil known as the Usurpers, the Reulli people who inhabited the City of Castles prior, and a champion known as the Hero of Lillies. With this information these two group meet back up to share what they learned. Questions where raised as Opal was acting suspicious and Alia realizes that Ren is a worshiper of Yoko, a Usurper God.
