When Alex was a girl, The Great Dragoning of 1955 occurred and her aunt turned into a dragon, before vanishing. Now, with everyone pretending her aunt never existed, Alex and her once cousin, now sister, Beatrice, must struggle to grow up in a broken world that even acknowledge what happened.
