Kaywanda Lamb is an entrepreneur, educator, coach, author, speaker, blogger, podcaster, and The Winning Single Mom. Her journey to being a sought out speaker, advocate for single moms everywhere, and a transformational coach began when her boys were young. Kaywanda had a choice to make: stay in a relationship that didn't honor her or raise her boys as a single mom. She decided to take option B (betting on herself and God) and has spent the last 22 years chasing her dreams and raising good babies. She returned to college 4 times in that span, holds a Masters in Spanish Literature, 2 Bachelor's degrees,  is 2 classes shy of an M. Ed, and is a certified principal. Her motto is “Do it anyway!” because you can dream about a better life or you can make it happen. She now splits her time between showing other women they, too, can parent well, thrive, and win and teaching business professionals conversational Spanish.

Kaywanda spent 17 years in education teaching Spanish at the secondary and post-secondary level. Kaywanda took her knowledge of business, her own experience as a language learner and educator, and created SpanishforSmallBusiness.com, a website dedicated to teaching entrepreneurs and small business owners Spanish specific to their industry. This idea to create custom curriculums per client and by industry came to Kaywanda as she began her own entrepreneurial journey. Kaywanda realized that the way she was taught to teach Spanish is not the way busy professionals needed to learn. Fast forward 7 years, and she’s taught real estate agents, health care professionals, entrepreneurs, insurance agents, social workers, logistics supervisors, HR professionals, business coaches, nurses, diversity professionals, and more to speak Spanish with her customized 1:1 conversational business Spanish program. 

Kaywanda loves people, teaching, and learning about new cultures. Kaywanda is an avid traveler, and her next goal is to take business professionals abroad to further expand their Spanish-speaking ability. As an Afro American woman who is bilingual, diversity and inclusion is important to Kaywanda. She often speaks on cultural awareness, diversity, and being sensitive to our differences to leverage them to help our companies grow.

Kaywanda recently launched Spanish for Black Girls™ to teach ambitious, high-achieving black women Spanish. She decided to focus on black women because she saw how women and in particular black women have been treated historically and decided to share her love of speaking and teaching Spanish with her sisters. Her goal is to teach 1 million black women Spanish through her course over the next ten years so they can increase their bargaining power and competitive edge against similar candidates in their careers, expand their horizons, and communicate with their clients and coworkers.
