Emerald, a native of Dayton, Ohio, graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting. She started her career as an internal auditor, becoming a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), where she specialized in making company's internal processes more efficient. Most recently, she has decided to educate the masses on how to live financially happier lives. Since making the decision to leave corporate America in 2015, Emerald has passionately pursued her dream, and thus Emerald Sparks Ltd, was created. The vision of Emerald Sparks Ltd, is to educate students and adults about financial literacy and how to live financially healthy lives. She has since authored an eBook entitled Vision. Future. Reality: How to Budget like a Boss. Emerald has 11 years of experience in financial services, more specifically in Property & Casualty insurance, Banking, Internal Audit both risk and compliance based, Financial Planning, and Personal Insurance. Currently, she is a financial columnist for Cincy Chic, the only online women’s publication in Cincinnati, Ohio. She hosts a monthly Rebuilding Your Credit workshop for Dayton area residents. Additionally, she is teaching a financial literacy program at North College High School and West High School in Cincinnati, Ohio with her partner Lawrence Cain and Abundance University.
