Over the past decade and a half, Dr. Kisha Tolbert Simmons has had the pleasure of supporting K-12 institutions, postsecondary institutions and community-based business organizations all in effort to assist them on their personal and professional growth journeys.

Dr. Simmons has held the position of: multi-grade elementary teacher, Reading Coach, Elementary & Secondary Instructional Partner, K-6 Regional STEM specialist, State Educator Effectiveness Specialist & Consultant, Director of a $19.6M postsecondary awareness and readiness grant, Adjunct Professor, National K-12 Virtual Coach, and currently as Head of Innovation and National School Partnerships at Student Success Agency. Additionally, she serves on the Board of Directors for STAIR Birmingham, a nonprofit early literacy organization, as well as an ACT State Organizations Council Member-- Alabama.

Dr. Simmons earned her Bachelor’s degree from Auburn University, Master’s degree from Lesley University, Education Specialist degree from Liberty University and Doctor of Philosophy in Education with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction from Capella University. She is a 2007 National Board Certified Teacher/2017 renewed, as well as the Owner, Chief Consultant & Strategist at ConnectME Consulting Group. She enjoys reading, traveling, surfing the web, spending time with family/friends, and watching the Auburn Tigers play — WAR EAGLE!
