Dr. Darrel Ray is the founder and President of the Board of Directors of Recovering from Religion. He holds a Masters’ Degree in religion, a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology/Anthropology and a Doctorate in Psychology.

In addition to being a psychologist for many decades, Dr. Ray is the author of several books, including “The God Virus - How Religion Infects Our Lives and Culture" and "Sex and God - How Religion Distorts Sexuality".

Darrel has spoken at several of my events, including the Shameless Sexuality: Life After Purity Culture conference, when he spoke about The Sex Addiction Panic and Its Religious Roots.
