“Make a space to do what you love and watch that space grow.” - Simon Haas
Today we are diving deep into all things dharma - not only Kitty’s area of expertise, but our amazing guest’s speciality too! So it is with excitement and joy that we welcome Simon Haas to the show. Simon is an internationally renowned author and teacher of yoga philosophy who specialises in applying ancient wisdom to everyday life. He lectures and gives seminars internationally on the philosophy of yoga and the ancient teachings of India. Simon is the author of The Book of Dharma: Making Enlightened Choices, which shares practical teachings on how to consciously direct our life by improving the quality of our choices. His most recent book, Yoga and the Dark Night of the Soul: The Soul’s Journey to Sacred Love, explores how crisis and difficulty can form part of our yoga path and how we can write our life story with love and compassion.
All the way from lively Costa Rica, Simon shares with us his incredible life story that takes us from The Beatles and hippy values to shaved heads, monks and monasteries. Listen in and hear his transformational story, and learn principles and methods that will transform your life too. For instance you’ll learn:
• How 13 year-old Simon went from his dad’s lovely library to the monasteries of India to continue his quest for knowledge.
• What it was that triggered this life-changing journey and the incredible method he used to let the teacher know the student was ready.
• Why the teacher-student dynamic, and helping others, is a privilege we should all value
• The four principles of dharma; how they influence each other and, how you can apply them to improve and benefit your life.
• That it’s better to be true to yourself and fall, than it is to live your life in accordance to outside influences.
• That a language barrier, no internet or email, sleeping on a floor and living like a monk may seem like hardships to some, but not so much when living your purpose.
Do you find you live for Friday? Dread Monday? Listen in and hear amazing advice on how to overcome this, and realign yourself to receive great vitality whatever day of the week! Simon will share methods that will help raise awareness and guide you back to your true nature, not what has been imposed by society, friends, family. Doing your dharma has never been so tempting!
