Episode 39 of The Descent Is Easy discusses Familia Ante Omnia, Episode 9 of Season 3 of Shadowhunters.

In which we discuss the stunning cinematography of the cold open and the show's bravery in revelling in this episode’s gruesomeness – maggotballs and all - and then complain about the number of characters that had to take their moron pills, to get the plot to where it needed to be and Deux Ex Machina-Clary Fairchild… Mostly because this basically means that Magnus Bane and the Shadowhunters have become entirely obsolete. Which totally opens up the beautiful possibilities of Magnus & Alec spending all of Season 3b on a beach, drinking Mojitos so... Barbados here we come!
