The luxury market of homes over $5M have out paced the amount of closed sales over $5M in 2019 by 23%. On a year over year basis there are more sales in 2020 over $5M, $10M, $20M and $30M. The majority of these sales took place in the second half of 2020 as the luxury markets froze for a few months when Covid and shelter in place took hold. There were 50 sales over $20M so far this year and 40 of the buyers were Americans. Out of the 10 international sales 2 buyers we’re from Taiwan and 1 from China.
