David Kinnan

Today’s guest on the Born to Be Podcast is Reverend David Kinnan. Today, David and his wife are leading a church in South Dakota whose mission is simply to show people who Jesus is. But their road to that church in the Black Hills wasn’t always easy.

In this amazing story, David shares how he came to understand that his “restrained rebellion” was actually just him being a hypocrite. When David was in his first pastoral role out of college, he and his girlfriend found out they were expecting a baby, which immediately disqualified him from his leadership role.

David says that in God’s kindness, he was “found out” early on in his life, and because of that he would encourage those who are hiding in their sin that one day of freedom is far better than living in fear that your sin will be found out.

But did his sin now disqualify him from becoming who he knew he was born to be – a pastor? Absolutely not. After listening to this episode, you’ll know that no one is too far from God, no mistake is too big to keep you from living with purpose and passion.
