Are you conscious of how you are approaching your training? 

Do you go into your training with the thought of building towards a goal or that you just need to try and crush yourself in order for the training to be effective?  

This notion of building often makes sense in other aspects of our lives but I regularly see this concept being lost on individuals when it comes to their training. Whether your are a competitive athlete in a sport or just intrinsically competitive to better yourself, focusing on building will provide your much more then testing on the daily will.
