The immigration laws the Government rushed to pass

It's the last sitting week for Parliament, but a lot has been going on in Canberra over the past month. Four people who were recently released from indefinite detention after the High Court ruled it was unlawful have allegedly reoffended. The Government has spent much of the week trying to rush through legislation to re-detain some of those who were released. We’ll explain what is happening in today’s deep dive.
