Writer and researcher Akuch Kuol Anyieth joins Sam and Zara on the podcast in honour of World Refugee Day.

Akuch is currently researching family violence intervention orders within Melbourne’s South Sudanese community.

She talks about the potential of a trauma-informed approach to reducing violence in communities, and her family’s experience living as refugees in Kenya and Australia that she has documented in her recent memoir, Unknown.
