S00E08 The CCCAH Year That Wasn’t Awards!

Welcome to the first annual CCCAH 2023 AWARDS for THE YEAR THAT WASN’T! 

It’s yet another special! Because it’s the new year and we all need and want it, right!? Especially the hosts of this show! Hah! So rather than every other pod or show devoted to lists delineating the best our culture had to offer this year, we’re getting more whimsical and fantastical here (as ever)! We are telling stories, dreaming and debating about: the things we did not do! The things we wished we had done. The things we wish had happened! Yes, let’s enter the new year with some melancholy, regret and recrimination even! But more importantly: with creativity and appreciation. Because even missing out on something you yearned to experience … is an experience in and of itself! Right!? Well, let’s make an awards show out of that tongue twister! Gosh, ok, great, let’s get to the damn thing, shall we!? 

No competition today, no guesses and no scores; just a lot of coughing (on one end!) after a hectic holiday season and a lot of awards to hand out. Evolving from old segments like “the week that was” and “fomo of the week” (as well as internal rankings for a new “fomo hall of fame” being set up at CCCAH HQ) we are presenting four awards each in three different overarching categories: movies, music and gigs/events.
