Tola Okogwu is an award-winning British-Nigerian children’s author, journalist and hair care educator.  Her first book 2. ONYEKA AND THE ACADEMY OF THE SUN was the June 2022 Waterstones Book of the Month, winner of the 2023 Children’s Africana Book Award for Older Readers and has been nominated for a British Book Award 2023 - Children's Fiction.

The second book in the  series ONYEKA AND THE RISE OF THE REBELS was published in March 2023.
