In this episode of the Content Capitalist Ken Okazaki speaks with Ryan Deiss, the Founder and CEO of The Scalable Company (Scalable.co), DigitalMarketer.com and a Founding Partner at Scalable Equity, LLC, a venture equity accelerator that builds and acquires B2B media and software brands.
Ryan shares how his entrepreneurial endeavors began while he was a college student at the University of Texas at Austin, launching his first very first website and generating his very first sale, an ebook on “How to make your own baby food” from his freshman dorm room. By the time he graduated, he was selling over 500 ebooks, and his hobby had grown into a business.
Ryan further shares how after Google went through a major algorithm change, everything he had built to generate thousands of dollars a day was suddenly gone, and he eventually found himself in a quarter of a million dollars in debt.
Listen to hear more about Ryan Deiss, how he avoided filing for bankruptcy (using a plan he wrote down on a napkin!) and instead is now the owner of multiple companies that combined, generate over 8 figures in revenue, his thoughts on content creation, business, and marketing on the Content Capitalists Podcast.
