Weapons of Warfare: Prayer and Fasting

2 CORINTHIANS 10:4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.

God has given us weapons. Not earthly weapons but spiritual weapons that have divine powerWhy?  Because we’re fighting a spiritual battle and we need to demolish strongholds! What's a stronghold? Anything that is not of God which has a strong hold on us. Fasting and Prayer are two of those weapons, but fasting without prayer is merely a diet therefore whenever you're fasting,  it's essential that prayer always be combined with it. 
Fasting is like turning the volume knob down on our flesh and turning it up in the spirit. Through prayer and fasting we gain authority, clarity, and closeness with God.
