The Father Heart of God

Genesis 18:19 For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right and just, so that the LORD will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him.” 

1. God chooses fathers, if you are a father, he has chosen you for these reasons
2. Direct your children
3. Direct your household
4. To keep the way of the Lord
5. Do what is right and just

This is the role of a father from God’s perspective and in fulfilling these purposes, the Lord will bring about the promises he has for you, just as he did for Abraham
