Ephesians 1
17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit  of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,

As we come to know God we begin to have a spiritual revelation in of who He is sand through knowing Him, the eyes of our heart our spiritual vision will enable us to see why He called us, and what He's called us to... The riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.  To put it briefly, the more we know God, the more we know ourselves
