Acts 4:13 now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus.

That’s because they moved by the power of the Holy Spirit, and that is only possible through prayer and fasting. This demonstrates to us that the true power that makes living a successful Christian life possible, is the Holy Spirit

Living life as a Christian cannot be accomplished in our own strength by our own will but only in our dependence on the power of the Holy Spirit working within us.

Throughout the bible there are so many examples of men & women of God who that had to accomplish things beyond their natural ability & were led to turn to prayer & fasting as a means of being greater vessels of god's anointing and power. Moses, Queen Esther, Paul and Jonah, Samuel, David, Elijah, Ezra, Daniel and of course Jesus.

John Wesley once famously stated, "Without God man cannot, and without man, God will not." Everything God accomplishes on earth He accomplishes through a man of faith and it is for that reason God has given us His Spirit and weapons of warfare to help us live to our fullest potentials as Christians, as His children. Prayer and fasting is the means which God has given us to help us achieve His plans, His will, and purposes in us and through our lives.
