Genesis 15:5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.

Have you ever noticed how throughout the bible god solves problems by  supernaturally employing the basic mathematical processes of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division?

Mathematics is directly related  to the topic of purpose, specifically God's purpose because God does not do anything without purpose and understanding God's purpose leads us to the idea of divine providence. 
A simple definition of providence is, “absolutely everything that needs to be done to bring about his purposes, God sees to it that it happens.
