Galatians 5:22-23

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

 John 15:5
I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.  

God is Love and The Fruit of the Spirit is His Fruit and all the other fruit flow from His Love. The Fruit of the Spirit is the character of God revealed in Jesus Christ and lived out in the lives of Christians. These are the personal qualities of the character of God and through cultivation and pruning they change our character.
