Focus Discipline and Rest

PROVERBS 29:18
WHERE THERE IS NO VISION, THE PEOPLE CAST OFF RESTRAINT; BUT BLESSED IS HE WHO KEEPS THE LAW.

Where there is no vision, people throw off restraint

Where there is no revelation of the future there is no discipline, some versions say the people run wild

The key to our lives is finding a vision and focusing our attention on a God given revelation of who we are and where God wants us to be 

Vision or focus is the source of discipline

Discipline causes us to live very narrow lives, Because when we have a vision, it’s easier to say no to things that don’t line up with the vision God has shown us

we don’t just say yes to everything  

The narrow path Jesus spoke of begins here on earth, in our daily decisions, one man one wife, is a narrow path, male and female is a narrow path, forgiving those who hurt us is a narrow path

We cannot choose the narrow path unless our focus is on Jesus, and He’s given us a revelation of the purposes and plans He has for us, and a vision of where He wants us to be
