Breaking Strongholds

The Bible tells us in Psalm 107:2 " we're redeemed from the hand of the enemy" In Colossians 1:13 the Bible tells us, "we're delivered us from the power of darkness, and translated into the kingdom of God's dear son:" Then in Mark 10:45 we're told that Jesus "came to give his life as a ransom for many.” Ransoms are paid for those in bondage or captivity and so John 8:36 goes on to tell us, if the son sets you free, you will be free indeed and we shall know the truth and the truth will make us free. So it's not the truth alone that makes us free, rather, it's the truth we know. 
This explains why although we've been redeemed, delivered and set free, many believers are living life as though they're still in bondage.
