Blood Covenant

Of all the great themes of the Bible, the teaching of Covenant is most intriguing. It is through knowledge of Covenant that we gain an assurance that God will work out his word in us. God is he who "Binds himself with an oath." It is God's oath to be faithful to keep and fulfill each and every promise given to the believer. The Covenant serves to instill in us an unswerving con¬fidence toward God. Toward our confidence in scripture, we may say: "God said it, I believe it, that settles it!" Underlying the boldness of this declaration is the fact that God not only gave his word as truth, he proved it. This he did by the giving of his Son. Covenant will enlighten us to which lengths God will go to prove the integrity of his word.
