A Time to Speak and a Time to Listen

God did not leave us without instructions. As His children, we’re exhorted to be led by the Spirit of God however, we cannot be led by the Spirit of God unless we’re able to hear His voice and we cannot hear his voice unless we’re listening. But if we’re talking when we should be listening, we will not hear His instructions.

Even in our daily interactions with people, listening is a good skill to develop because, if we learn to be a good listener, we can more easily understand what’s being said, and then by the Spirit of God, He will help us see beyond the words into the heart of a person.

At one time or another most of us have trouble controlling our tongue, speaking more than listening. In this teaching, we’re going to see what the word of God has to say on the subject of our mouths, how they’re connected to our hearts and how we use them. We’re going to discuss the value of knowing when to speak when to listen and how important it is to know when to speak and when to listen and how that goes hand in hand with following God’s instructions
