In times like we’re living in many people are giving up, many people are losing hope. Last year at this time no one would have believed that a year from then, people would be living in fear of a virus, losing their jobs, losing their businesses, children would be kept out of school and churches would be ordered to remain closed. If someone would’ve told us any of those things, we would’ve thought they were crazy yet all all these things are more are taking place in these adverse times we’re living in.
The world has a saying that goes like this, “whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” In Christianity we’re told to count it all joy when we go through various problems, knowing that our faith is being tested.
Counting it as joy is not always an easy thing to accomplish when it seems like our life is falling apart or we’re faced with disappointment, setbacks and frustration. Nevertheless, the scripture tells us we prosper even as our soul prospers and this makes maintaining a prosperous soul one of the greatest challenges of discipleship
It’s one thing to prosper financially or materially and another thing to maintain a prosperous soul yet the bible gives us numerous examples of how we can successfully accomplish both. In this message, Pastor Art takes a deep dive into the scriptures to help believers understand how God has made it possible for His people to maintain a prosperous soul in times of adversity.
