It can feel scary to go out and find clients, so we often spend our time taking what I call 'passive action'. Designing a logo or tweaking our website can feel like we're doing something constructive. But without clients, we have no business.

Finding a paying client means making connections with people who might hire you.

It might be less complicated than navigating all the tech stuff, creating a logo or a website. But it can be way more confronting.
