Episode 34 - Police Powers

The other week I managed to be violently detained by NSW police at the Spring Loaded festival and Jack's immediate reaction was 'that's pretty funny'. But it got his noggin joggin' and wanted to do an episode on police powers.

Far from libertarians, but a little shy of proper state sanctioned fascism we flesh out our positions on what appears to be an ever increasing level of police discretionary powers that wind up in a fair whack of collateral damage. Since the police are a law unto themselves, they are about as accountable as a toddler after a few red cordials.
