At Death's Door: Cops and Suicide Response

In Alexandria, a 9-1-1 call prompts a welfare check on a man in mental distress--Paul Behan had lost his wife and job, and had been drinking. Paul answered the door with a rifle under his chin, and a tense standoff began. Officers pleaded to save Paul from himself-- but should they have been there in there in the first place?
