My special guest on The Come Up Show podcast is NBDY, an artist from New Jersey who comes from a family of musicians. We talked about what it’s like to be signed to Arista Records a label home to Whitney Houston and Aretha Franklin.

We talked about the importance of knowing who you are as an artist and how that is going to inform how you present yourself.

"The art represents your brand and who you are. A real artist makes the audience think.

It goes way deeper than just what you see now, A real artist doesn’t tell their audience what to think. They let their audience think for themselves. Once I grasped that concept, it was really easy. I know what I like, I know what I don’t. I know how I want to be seen and how to interact and it worked out for me."
