029 Common Mistakes in Coaching

In today's episode we are exploring common mistakes in coaching.

This episode has been created in response to our community wanting to hear us talk about mistakes coaches can make. Of course, mistakes are really only opportunities to learn and there is no such thing as the perfect coach. No matter how much experience you have as a coach it’s always possible to learn.

• How to reframe the idea of making mistakes so that your coaching skills can grow
• What can we do when we notice that we aren’t coaching the way we want to
• A number of common lessons that every coach learns
• The importance of contracting and recontracting within sessions
• How to create a discipline of mindfulness towards your language, preferences and interactions in a coaching session
• Why supervision is an important part of being a coach

Even as a master coach all of the above learnings apply so it’s important to remember that you are always learning and are continuously increasing your skills and knowledge.
