(1981's The Evil Dead, 1987's Evil Dead II and 1992's Army of Darkness) Not solely a horror series teeming with gut-wrenching scares, a surplus of gore, demonic spirits and hair-raising violence, but a comedic one too, with a healthy balance of absurdist humour, wacky antics, eyebrow raising one liners and an over-the-top groovy style that'll have you possessed with amusement.
