For a long time, I believed if I could just be what he wanted—fun enough, relaxed enough, “cool wife” enough—we’d feel connected again.
So I performed.
I drank when I didn’t want to.
Went places that broke my heart.
Said yes when my nervous system was screaming no.
I was surviving, not living.
And it created a false sense of connection that left me buried in shame and exhaustion.
In this episode, I’m getting real about:
If you’ve ever lost yourself trying to be what someone else needed, this one’s for you.
It’s not about becoming something else.
It’s about returning to who God made you to be.
